| 3D Systems' CEO Named Ambassador for Economic Development 3D Systems announces that Abe Reichental, president and CEO of 3D Systems, has been honored for his contributions in promoting economic growth in the county and state by South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford. Reichental was named York County's Economic Development Ambassador of the Year by the South Carolina Department of Commerce, an honor awarded to private sector executives who are exceptional contributors to community and state development. The recognition at the Governor's Mansion in Columbia, S.C., kicks off South Carolina Industry Appreciation Week. The honor for Reichental comes nearly a year after 3D Systems consolidated its headquarters, operations and research and development activities into a new, state-of-the-art, global facility in Rock Hill, S.C. Since deciding to move, Reichental has assisted York County economic development officials in recruitment efforts with other companies, including meeting with prospects to share positive information about York County and South Carolina.
