Universal Imaging Utility Goes Vista Compatible

A new Vista compatible version of Binary Resource's Universal Imaging Utility product, manufactured by Big Bang LLC, has been launched in the UK. Taking advantage of the growth of the Windows Vista platform, the new version of UIU works with popular cloning packages such as Ghost, Altiris, Acronis and Zenworks.

It allows users to create a single master image for any Windows Vista Business or Enterprise 32-bit versions, XP, 2000 or Tablet computer and can dramatically reduce the time and expense associated with image creation and maintenance.

Whilst cloning software has evolved apace, the burden of creating, storing and maintaining multiple image files has become increasingly unmanageable. IT personnel waste valuable time and money juggling images or doing extensive post-cloning configuring to get their desktops and laptops fully functional.

In the UK, the health and education sectors are discovering the benefits of UIU technology. Leading institutions such as University College London and Homefirst NHS Trust are using the UIU solution to simplify rollouts, migrations and deployments and as a valuable disaster recovery tool.
