| Weymouth and Portland National Academy Sails Towards Gold with Avaya IP Telephony Solution Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy has deployed an integrated IP communications network solution from Avaya. The new IP enabled solution was successfully deployed by Avaya Gold certified UK BusinessPartner, Exeter based IP Office Ltd. The IP Telephony network, based on Avaya's flexible and scalable IP Office voice and data solution, has helped WPNSA become a world class training and competition site equipped with the latest telecommunication infrastructure. Deployed at the Academy's main building, the installation of IP telephony provides for an efficient communication platform which supports the 50 staff members, offering integrated management of email, voice messages and faxes through a common interface on appropriately configured Avaya 5410 digital telephones. The new communications system will also include a 'press office' specifically designed to address the varied requirements of today's modern media. For example, a 'print journalist' will be able to select a basic call and data connection, while broadcast journalists will have access to full broadband data and voice set-ups delivering streaming videos and live pictures. As part of the new communications solution Avaya's IP Office have provided WPNSA with two computers for a new Internet Caf? specifically opened to allow competitors to access important weather information as well as giving them access to email.
