| Wavecom Releases New CM52 Wireless CPU Wavecom has announced commercial availability of the Wavecom CM52 Wireless CPU. Designed specifically for automotive applications, the CM52 operates within an extended temperature range and has a rugged build for extreme vibrations. In addition, the CM52 offers connection flexibility with a choice of RF connectors. This product is fully certified by the largest CDMA carrier in the U.S. and designed into the telematics units of some of the world's premier automakers. More importantly, the commercial release of the CM52 reinforces Wavecom's commitment to CDMA technology adding a second rugged and versatile CDMA product to the Wavecom Wireless CPU portfolio. The existing CDMA-based Wavecom Q2438 shares a form factor with the rest of the Wavecom Q24 Wireless CPU series which offers developers the opportunity to make one design that operates on either cellular standard. The Q2438 is fully compatible with gpsOne and operates within an extended temperature range for easy integration into a host of applications, including automotive. Both products support voice, 1xRTT packet data, SMS and circuit switch data for the ultimate in application flexibility. Plus, they come with an embedded TCP/IP stack to minimize licensing fees associated with connectivity. And, like all Wavecom products, the CM52 and Q2438 are completely lead-free and RoHS compliant. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Computing News :: home page |
