| MDW/1752 Database Software Wins SMT Magazine's Vision Award The GoodBye Chain Group announces that its MDW/1752 database software has been named the winner of SMT Magazine's 2007 Vision Award in the Software category. GCG received the award in recognition of product innovation and excellence. MDW/1752 software supports global RoHS-like legislation and the IPC Standard 1752 format. The program helps companies get up-and-running with a RoHS-related database in hours instead of days. MDW/1752 is a Windows-based application that any user can install without IT support. It provides the same functionality as much larger systems at 5–10% of the cost. It has an intuitive user interface, comprehensive Help, and a RoHS 'encyclopedia' of compliance information. Component manufacturers use MDW/1752 to aggregate substance and material data. Contract manufacturers use MDW/1752 to roll-up information from suppliers and to provide sophisticated reports to their most demanding customers. Other customers use MDW/1752 as a low cost, easy to implement 'material declaration management front-end' for existing PLM and ERP systems. MDW/1752 allows companies to collect supplier data or to import purchased data from third-party firms such as GCG's US reseller, PartMiner. GCG also has resellers in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Computing News :: home page |
