| BidShift Introduces Version 3.2 BidShift announces the availability of version 3.2, which upgrades its automated program for filling open shifts, empowering employees, and supporting effective staffing practices. BidShift 3.2 provides an expanded framework for optimizing management of the existing workforce. This software release introduces significant features including calendar-based shift posting, expanded profiling capabilities that allow organizations to identify employees with the highest probability of working a shift at the last minute, and a new graphical user interface. The release also extends the functionality of two existing modules, Agency Management and the ShiftRewards point-based incentive program. BidShift 3.2 helps organizations leverage their existing resource pools, give staff more choice and flexibility over the shifts they work, drive employee satisfaction and retention, standardize incentive management, and provide a competitive advantage for the recruitment of qualified staff. Enhancements in BidShift 3.2 include: - PowerPost shift creator, a calendar-based method to post shifts that incorporates templates to enable a more efficient posting process. The shift template controls all associated rules for the shift such as position, wage, incentive, and phasing. - Last minute scheduling, a tool that extends the range of shifts that can be filled by BidShift by providing an easy way to search for employees who may be able to work an unanticipated shift. The list is segmented and sorted by a proprietary ranking engine which identifies qualified employees that may be especially likely to fill a last minute scheduling request. - New graphical user interface for improved look and feel and streamlined navigation and functionality, including hundreds of thoughtful enhancements to save time, improve consistency, and enhance ease-of-learning and daily use. - ShiftRewards and Agency Management modules: Both modules have increased capabilities and flexibility in providing greater impact on incentive approaches and agency spending, and new metrics to measure and control spending. - A number of additional features that further expand on the staff user and unit manager experience. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
