Ulead VideoStudio 10 Earns Vista Certification

Corel and its subsidiary Ulead have announced that Ulead VideoStudio 10 is the first video editing software package to be awarded the "Vista Certified" logo. In addition to providing retail consumers with a ready-to-go solution for new Vista PCs, full Vista certification positions VideoStudio 10 as the premier choice for PC and peripheral manufactures to create Vista certified offerings.

Ulead VideoStudio 10 is consumer video editing and DVD authoring software that lets users do more with video, including video editing, slideshow and video creation or sharing movies on a variety of devices from iPods to high-definition home theater systems.

Under Vista, VideoStudio 10 users will experience the same ease-of-use and native product features as when running under previous operating systems such as Windows XP or Windows 2000. VideoStudio users will be able to take advantage of the Vista Aero user interface with enhancements such as dialog fading, anti-aliased UI text, translucence, and live task previews.

In addition, VideoStudio 10 complies with Microsoft's new User Account Control policies for added security and takes advantage of new Windows Installer technology for an improved installation experience. All VideoStudio components are signed and the application offers full event logging to facilitate management, monitoring and to provide better information for troubleshooting. Support for multiple core processors remains integral to VideoStudio, enabling faster rendering speeds.

By achieving the highest level of certification for the company's consumer video editing and DVD authoring software, Corel and Ulead ensure that video editing enthusiasts will enjoy a smooth transition as they upgrade their PCs to the new operating system or purchase new Vista-based PCs.
