| IT Pro Awards Five Stars to Panda GateDefender Integra 300 IT Pro magazine (UK) has awarded five stars to Panda GateDefender Integra 300. After a series of product trials, the review concludes that Panda Software's appliance is "A smart UTM solution ideally suited to SMBs looking for a one stop shop for all their security needs. It's particularly easy to install and manage and compares very well on price with much of the competition at this level". One of the features of Panda GateDefender Integra 300 highlighted by the magazine is its anti-spam technology: "We ran the appliance in a live environment for over a week where it picked up over ninety per cent of spam and only a small number of false positives. We used the high sensitivity setting but if you feel Panda is being too aggressive you can drop down to a medium or low sensitivity". This hardware device with dedicated software is designed to protect networks using all necessary types of protection: firewall, VPN service, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), anti-malware, content filtering, anti-spam protection and web filtering. The different types of protection work together to offer complete security against both known and unknown network threats and content threats. The device is installed at the gateway between the corporate network and the Internet or another network, just like a firewall, and is managed through a straight-forward centralized web administration console.
