| Digitech Systems' PaperVision Enterprise R41 and Message Manager Digitech Systems announces the release of PaperVision Enterprise R41, which includes Message Manager for seamless email management. Among the new features of PaperVision Enterprise are Microsoft Office integration and email management. The new PaperVision Enterprise Tools allow users to upload and manage documents directly from Word, Excel, PowerPoint and even Windows Explorer in PaperVision Enterprise, making it easy for users to utilize enterprise content management without leaving their Microsoft Office application. To further increase security, PaperVision Enterprise now provides encryption of data not only during transmission but also at rest. PaperVision Message Manager allows organizations to obtain — and keep — control of email messages by utilizing their PaperVision Enterprise document and content management (ECM) system. The Radicati Group1 estimates there are 578 million email users generating about 85 emails each per day, and the Gartner Group2 expects the use of email to continue to grow at a rate of 40% per year. With Message Manager, organizations can apply pre-defined business rules to determine which messages to capture and manage. Message Manager imports those messages into PaperVision Enterprise and indexes them for fast retrieval. Users can also scan storage locations of existing email messages for capture directly into PaperVision Enterprise. Messages can be filtered based on user-defined policies, so all relevant messages are grouped together into projects and are available through simple keyword search. Ease of setup and flexibility are built into Message Manager, which allows any email system to forward messages to a mailbox on an email server monitored by Message Manager for management in PaperVision Enterprise. Benefits of PaperVision Message Manager: - Enable full compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and other government regulations by capturing and preserving messages as they enter or exit the email system; - Adhere to compliance guidelines by preserving messages and providing non-repudiation; verifying the integrity of messages when viewed by comparing them with the original captured versions; - Implement email management without a complex integration with Exchange through the use of journaling; - Also capture pre-existing messages from Outlook and Exchange mailboxes; - Capture email messages from virtually all email systems. Simply forward messages to a mailbox on an email server monitored by Message Manager; - Organize all messages into a single information management system for immediate retrieval when needed and enable compliance with government regulations. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
