| Toshiba Announces One-Pound 'Palm-Sized' Mobile Projector Toshiba has introduced the one-pound TDP-FF1AU DLP (digital light processing) palm-sized multimedia projector. About the size of a paperback book, the TDP-FF1AU is one of the lightest and smallest projectors on the market and Toshiba's first battery powered highly portable projection solution for mobile professionals, trainers, gamers, small-to-medium businesses and digital entertainment. Fitting literally in the palm of your hand, the TDP-FF1AU projector is suited for mobile presenters demanding top performance without sacrificing portability. The TDP-FF1AU can be used for small group presentations, movie nights, video games, as well as classroom and business presentations. The TDP-FF1AU can project an 11- to 68-inch diagonal image and comes with a foldable 23-inch diagonal display screen, rechargeable battery, battery charger and carrying case. The TDP-FF1AU delivers an incredible 400 Lux of brightness with a native SVGA 800 x 600 resolution and a razor sharp contrast ratio of 1500:1. Toshiba's TDP-FF1AU projector is designed with DLP technology for quality and consistency on the screen. This proven technology combined with the unique features of the TDP-FF1AU provides impressive visual impact, brilliant color, brightness, and unparalleled clarity and color fidelity. In addition to the convenience of the projector's size, the extremely portable Toshiba TDP-FF1AU is built with an energy-efficient LED light source that can last for up to 10.000 hours of use, much longer than a conventional projector lamp. The LED light source does not heat up the projector, eliminating powering up or cool down time, and increases battery life. A fan isn't required either, enabling quiet operation. Free from the dependency of electrical outlets, the battery-operated TDP-FF1AU can be used anywhere, anytime. The projector's ability to operate on low power consumption enables approximately two hours of battery life. The TDP-FF1AU projector is versatile and compatible with many mobile devices, such as mobile phones, portable DVD players, digital cameras, laptops, game consoles and USB memory sticks. Providing a total mobile solution, the TDP-FF1AU includes computer, video and audio inputs, headphone output and a convenient USB port for digital photo viewing or PC-free presentations. For home entertainment use, the projector can also be hooked up to a cable or satellite set-top box. The projector comes packaged in a sleek, white pearlescent finish. All input and output connectors are conveniently located on the side of the projector and the projector includes a 0.5 watt speaker for enhanced presentations. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
