| Barclays and Wincor Nixdorf Win Gold at the Self-Service World Outstanding Achievement Awards Barclays and Wincor Nixdorf have won a gold award at the finals of the Self-Service World Outstanding Achievement Awards for their introduction of new Account Servicing kiosks to branches across the UK. The gold award in the financial category, presented at the Self-Service & Kiosk Show in San Antonio, Texas, recognises the success of a project to deploy 512 Wincor Nixdorf kiosks at Barclays branches across the UK. The kiosks bring the functionality of internet banking into Barclays branches, enabling customers to administer their accounts, pay bills and transfer money via a simple touch-screen interface, without waiting in line to see a cashier. Wincor Nixdorf also won a silver award in the Public Sector category, for a project at the German state employment agency, Bundesagentur f?r Arbeit. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
