| BT Signs New 5 Year Contract with Convergys Convergys has announced a 5-year contract with BT to expand the use of Infinys, Convergys' state-of-the-art billing and customer care solution, to support all of BT's consumer, business, and wholesale customers. This agreement encompasses the use of Infinys to rate and bill all BT products and services including BT's 27 million plus PSTN (public switched telephone network) customers. Convergys' Infinys solution is capable of supporting traditional PSTN services as well as next generation all Internet Protocol (IP) services on the same platform, including services enabled by IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS). In 2005, Convergys and BT announced an Infinys deployment consolidating a highly complex billing operation, consisting of 55 billing systems across Europe, North America, and Australia to Infinys.
