| Teradata Delivers Linux for Enterprise-Class Data Warehouses Teradata has shipped an enhanced version of the Teradata database running on the 64-bit version of the SUSE Linux Enterprise from Novell. It is available globally for enterprise-class data warehouses. Teradata now delivers the same enterprise-class scalability, availability and manageability with the 64-bit SUSE Linux Enterprise operating system, as with the Windows operating system and its own UNIX operating system, UNIX MP-RAS. Teradata selected Novell and its SUSE Linux Enterprise platform because it provides a full range of Linux services to support large-scale enterprises. Novell provides a scalable and efficient solution for enterprise customers who are considering the move to an open-source operating system.
