| Blackmagic Design Announces On-Air 2.0 Blackmagic Design has announced On-Air 2.0, the newest version of its real time video mixer that supports multiple capture cards for multi camera mixing. On-Air 2.0 includes a new "auto-sync" feature that eliminates the need for expensive genlockable video cameras. On-Air 2.0 allows a much faster workflow because your edit is completed the moment the event is finished, because it's all mixed live. That's absolutely critical when content needs to be instantly available after the performance. With On-Air 2.0, Blackmagic Design has made real time mixing dramatically more affordable for everyone. On-Air 2.0 supports the new Intensity HDMI capture board announced by Blackmagic Design at IBC 2006. With two Intensity boards plugged into the computer, an HDMI video camera can be connected to each of Intensity's HDMI inputs. On-Air 2.0 will automatically recognize the video inputs, and then the live production can begin. On-Air 2.0 eliminates the need to use cameras that have genlock connections. Genlock is normally required, so cameras can be synced to a vision mixer for live mixing. However On-Air 2.0 features auto-sync technology that automatically synchronizes the video cameras without the need for genlock. This means any camera can be connected to a computer running On-Air 2.0 and mixed in real time. Now all videographers and those who specialize in education, corporate production, wedding video, religious events can benefit from real time live mixing with multiple cameras - all in HD and with uncompressed quality if required. On-Air 2.0 is a fully self contained software application with the following powerful features: - Supports 2 video cameras for live event mixing - Supports graphics for live keying of graphics over live video - Displays live video of camera input views - Displays program view of recorded video - Captures uncompressed and compressed SD and HD video to disk - Displays "tally" red boarders around camera views when cameras are "on-air" - Displays red board on program windows when recording to disk - All camera and program views are in a single window that fits a 20-inch display - Compatible with any Core Audio audio input device for sound recording - On-Air 2.0 is free for all Blackmagic Design customers who use Intensity. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
