| Mistral Premiers Upgraded Version of Targa's Removable Disk Mistral Solutions has announced the availability of the upgraded higher capacity version of the Removable Disk System from Targa Systems. Targa Systems, a division of L-3 Communications, which is accelerating its leadership in providing solid-state data storage solutions for military & aerospace applications has now come up with the 64 GB capacity Removable Disk and will be releasing the 128 GB version soon. The Series 4 DTU product line incorporates a 2.5" removable disk and provides for true 2.5" disk removability in harsh and rugged military & aerospace applications. Targa Series 4 Removable Disk System is a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device for military & aerospace systems, replacing Server Attached Storage in most airborne platform application systems. These systems include flight management, cockpit instrument display, terrain awareness and warning, map systems, radar systems, cockpit/ground communications, navigation positioning, and satellite communications. The removable disk feature of the Series 4 product line allows easy updating of files. The Targa Series 4 DTS meets MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160 environmental standards and transfers data at 18 megabytes per second. It fulfills requirements of military and aerospace applications, such as map displays, imaging, and mission loads. The Series 4 DTU product is available in a Dzus Rail Panel Mount (CDU style) form factor unit with either 28Vdc or 5Vdc power input. Both single and dual disk versions are available.
