VitalSmarts has announced the release of Crucial Conversations Training 3rd Edition. The new edition of the bestselling training has been updated with more than 100 enhancements designed to create a fully integrated training process. Brett Walker, chief marketing officer for VitalSmarts, says the added enhancements in the 3rd edition create a seamless new training experience for both participant and trainer. - Improved Trainer Materials: The CD-ROM-based trainer presentation has been streamlined for teaching two-day, back-to-back training sessions. The hardcopy trainer guide now offers notes and tips based on feedback from hundreds of certified trainers, a course timeline and improved packaging.
- New Crucial Conversations Mastery Mission Web Follow-up Course: A post-training breakthrough in skill acquisition and mastery for course participants, this Web-based process ensures transference of skills by using self-paced, engaging lesson reviews and practice opportunities. Pre- and post-assessments help participants track their progress.
- Improved Participant Materials: More than 50 additional pages have been added to the participant toolkit, including reference exercises previously found only in the trainer materials. Also, improved packaging including desktop aids help facilitate daily skill review.
- New Certified Trainer Zone at vitalsmarts.com: This new Web zone is packed with introductory content for certified Crucial Conversations trainers, including tips for improving training delivery. This site also includes a tool for generating course evaluation reports, as well as a Web-based application that automates the paper trail required for continuing education credits.

Crucial Conversations 3rd Edition Trainer Presentation System Requirements: Windows 98 SE/2000/ME/XP, Pentium Celeron 1.0 GHz (Pentium 4 recommended), 2.5 GB hard drive space (10 MB for minimum install), Windows Media Player 9 or higher, video card with 16 MB of memory, 256 MB of RAM (512 MB RAM recommended), CD-ROM drive, video adapter (1024x768 recommended), Hi-Color (16-bit) color quality, sound card and speakers. Multimedia projector required for presentation projection.

Crucial Conversations Mastery Mission System Requirements: Windows 98 SE/2000/ME/XP, Adobe Flash Player 8, 1 GHz Pentium, or compatible processor, Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, Hi-Color (16-bit) color quality, 800x600 minimum screen resolution. A broadband Internet connection and an Internet service provider are required. Mastery Mission is currently not Mac or Firefox compatible.
