Webaroo Launches the Wikipedia Unplugged

Webaroo announces the addition of Wikipedia to its collection of more than two dozen web content packs. Wikipedia is the world's largest Web-based free-content encyclopedia. Webaroo users can now search the information content of Wikipedia's more than 1 million articles of collective knowledge anywhere, anytime. For the first time in history, consumers can carry the searchable Wikipedia in their pockets on a smart phone with a compact flash card.

Webaroo's Wikipedia pack is approximately 6 gigabytes and gives consumers the information of the English language Wikipedia. Webaroo is dedicated to making the web's most useful information easily accessible. From reference material to the world's major cities, news and more, Webaroo's web packs provide one-step downloadable content to laptop and handheld users. Webaroo continually expands its collection of web packs to match the evolving needs of its customers.

Webaroo's web packs are free collections of the most useful, searchable web pages for a specific topic such as New York City, Soccer or the News. Web packs, created by Webaroo, are optimized for Content Density - the most content value in the least storage size. Webaroo determines the content value based on the diversity, relevancy and quality of the pages so that they deliver good results for almost any query related to the topic. Webaroo plans to introduce many web packs covering a broad range of topics. These packs automatically update in the background each time a consumer connects to the web.
