Schema Announces 1.000.000$ Agreement for Network Optimization

Schema has announced that it signed a network optimization agreement valued at close to USD 1M with a North American wireless service provider. Under the agreement, the operator will deploy Schema's Mentor, OptiPlanner and Fort? network optimization products. In addition, Schema will provide maintenance, training, and support services. This announcement marks Schema's second major optimization agreement with a major North American wireless service provider in less than a month.

Using Schema's complete package of Radio Access Network (RAN) optimization solutions, the operator will improve network coverage quality and customer satisfaction, in addition to reducing OpEx and CapEx. With Mentor, Schema's most recently announced product, the operator will use mobile measurements generated from subscribers' handsets. The data collected will reflect the network quality from the end-user's point of view, identifying high-traffic data and voice usage hot-spots as well as areas of service degradation. Mentor analyzes this data in near-real time, allowing more frequent and proactive optimization for maximum customer satisfaction.

Using OptiPlanner the operator will improve network coverage and quality by automatically optimizing cell parameters. OptiPlanner optimizes a wide range of key network configuration parameters such as antenna location, type, tilt, azimuth and power settings, based on user-defined goals for quality, capacity, coverage and budgetary constraints. Using Fort?, the operator will be able to optimize the network frequency planning process, achieving significant improvement in data throughput, voice quality, capacity, and coverage by automatically tuning a wide range of network settings.
