| ZapMe Selects TynTec for Business Card SMS Mobile multimedia business card startup ZapMe! has selected enterprise quality SMS provider TynTec as an integral part of its new service. Under the deal TynTec will provide ZapMe! with an SMS long number as a reply path for recipients of its user's business cards as well as providing the company with its SMS-MT (mobile termination) and SMS-MO (mobile originated) messaging services. ZapMe!, launched on July 3rd 2006, enables users to create and send their own multimedia business cards via mobile phones. Users simply log onto the ZapMe! website and then, once they're registered, they can send their card to contacts from their mobile, from the ZapMe! website or display instructions for how to request the card. Business cards will have an SMS reply path using the TynTec long number. Additionally, phones that aren't capable of receiving multimedia content will be sent an SMS version which will be carried by TynTec SMS-MT. By using TynTec's enterprise quality SMS ZapMe! can offer the guaranteed and timely delivery of all its SMS communications. Because TynTec uses a proprietary SMS infrastructure and has multiple operator relationships, it can ensure that all SMS are guaranteed to arrive and will reach the recipient's phone within ten seconds – something hugely important in an instantaneous transaction such as sending a business card. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
