CIC Introduces New Sign-It with Support for Adobe LiveCycle

Communication Intelligence Corporation releases its latest Sign-it for Adobe Acrobat software, an enterprise class solution that extends the capabilities of Adobe LiveCycle software with multi-modal electronic signatures.

Adobe LiveCycle helps organizations automate and streamline people-centric business processes. The new release of CIC's Sign-it product further extends the value of LiveCycle by enabling highly configurable and legally binding electronic signatures. Sign-it extends the digital signature architecture within the Adobe PDF format to enable the use of multi-modal signature technologies including; click-wrap, stamping, seals, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and biometric handwritten, voice, and fingerprint signatures - all through a common electronic signature solution. Sign-it also provides a patented process that delivers a best practice eSignature solution for use across multiple business processes throughout the enterprise.

It is estimated that fifty billion original paper documents are generated each year in the US alone, that the expense associated with paper documents is over 15% of annual corporate revenue and that 60% of those paper documents are signature dependent (Coopers & Lybrand, Gartner Group). Leveraging electronic signature solutions to achieve a truly paperless environment affords organizations major benefits including significant expense reduction, compressed business cycles and enhanced security.

These signatures are designed to meet the requirements of Adobe Document Server which, among other things, allows for execution of the electronic signature within Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions. Sign-it provides great flexibility for the form author to configure the signing process. It also enables customers to collect data through alternate applications and to customize the signing interface that is presented to their users. This insures increased customer acceptance and adoption through user friendly, process specific interfaces. Additionally, Sign-it supports an array of back office tools from CIC that enable enterprise specific processing, reporting and validation of documents which is critical for large organizations.

CIC's Sign-it products are currently available in English and have been designed to meet the specific laws and regulations of the US and European Union. The company is currently undergoing certification with the state Security Bureau for approval of its Chinese versions of the products to allow for sales within mainland China through its joint venture company, CIC China and its regional distributor, eCOM Asia Pty., Ltd., a local reseller and integrator of Adobe products as well.
