| Right Hemisphere's Deep Server 4.0 Enterprise Software Right HemisphereR has shipped its next-generation release of Deep ServerT. The delivery of Deep Server 4.0 enterprise PGM software completes a major upgrade of Right Hemisphere's entire product portfolio. The portfolio upgrade also included recent releases of Deep ExplorationT 4.0 CAD Edition, the PMI ModuleT and the PDF Publishing ModuleT, all of which automate 3D PDF publishing processes. In addition to advancing the capabilities of its PGM software suite, Right Hemisphere experienced continued momentum for its PGM technology in the first quarter of 2006. New customers such as Dade Behring Holdings, The DBT Group, and MFG.com penned enterprise deals with Right Hemisphere, and existing customers such as DaimlerChrysler Corporation and Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation expanded their PGM deployments. The majority of these enterprise-scale transactions were three year term subscriptions. Other global manufacturers also licensed Deep Server and associated client applications, increasing the Deep Server installed base to over 50 installations worldwide. Deep Server integrates product development and communications applications; automates part to publication processes for 2D and 3D product graphics; and manages product graphics throughout the extended enterprise. Selected new features in Deep Server include the ability to: - Transform key sourcing, sales, and services business processes by automatically authoring high volumes of critical 3D PDF documents using a combination of Right Hemisphere's Deep Server PGM processing engine and PDF Publishing Module, and Adobe's publishing software - Generate derivative graphics on demand using best-of-breed preconfigured processes for technical illustrations, photoreal images, and 3D animations - Translate, author, and publish larger models and additional derivative product graphics up to 67% faster with advanced server configurability, load balancing, and other performance optimization techniques - Further reduce graphics file sizes, data transfer, and real-time performance using new object instancing capability and advanced compression algorithms - Create more photorealism with new advanced lighting, UV mapping, shadows, and materials palette extensions - Automate callout creation within technical illustrations using new callout styles, label, placement, color, and size controls - Publish CATIAR or JT Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) data by leveraging the Right Hemisphere PMI Module - More flexibly blend automated and manual steps within high volume 2D and 3D graphics publishing processes when used in conjunction with Right Hemisphere's Deep Exploration CAD Edition or AdobeR AcrobatR 3D software on the desktop These significant functionality enhancements, prior successful implementations, and a growing recognition of the impact of 3D product graphics on sourcing, sales, and service were the catalysts behind an acceleration in Deep Server adoption. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
