ADS Tech has announced that it is shipping its MiniTV USB TV Tuner with MediaTV PVR software, its own all-in-one solution for turning a PC into a digital entertainment center. In addition to delivering real-time TV with time-shifting capabilities and scheduled recordings on a desktop or notebook PC, the MediaTV PVR Software lets consumers take their favorite videos, music and photos wherever they go-on a CD, a DVD or on a portable media device such as such as a Sony PSP or Apple iPod . Certified for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition, ADS Tech's MiniTV USB is also optimized for the new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.

Measuring only 3.25" x 1.2" x .45", the MiniTV USB is instantly recognized when it is plugged into a PC's USB port. No rebooting of the computer or complex setup procedures are required. Consumers can enjoy watching their favorite TV programs and sports events without having to carry extra cables or a power supply around. Using a standard TV antenna or cable connection, they can watch TV right on their computer screen in a re-sizeable window.

By including its powerful MediaTV PVR Software with the MiniTV USB TV Tuner, ADS Tech makes it easy for consumers to enhance their real-time TV viewing experience by using a remote control to pause, rewind and watch the program in slow motion. A 10-foot GUI allows for easy menu navigation on a PC monitor or a big- screen TV. With the free electronic program guide, consumers can also schedule their favorite shows for recording to a CD or DVD that they can watch at their convenience.
