QAD Partners with NetRegulus for Clinical Trial Management

QAD Inc. and NetRegulus, Inc. have announced they have entered into a partnership agreement to deliver joint solutions to the life sciences marketplace. In anticipation of fast growth and global expansion, startup and established medical-device and biotechnology companies have chosen QAD and NetRegulus solutions as their foundation for world-class enterprise operations, from initial clinical trial to global distribution.

QAD Enterprise Applications offer out-of-the-box functionality specifically tailored to meet the needs of life sciences manufacturers, including cradle-to-grave product traceability, supplier evaluation capabilities, and a framework and tools to minimize the scope of validation for current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). As part of the agreement, QAD will offer customers the NetRegulus NetRM suite of software to manage aspects of the product life-cycle across the enterprise, from pre-clinical studies to post-market activities. Developed specifically for the life sciences industry by life sciences professionals, the NetRegulus suite of applications also includes tools for corrective and preventive action (CAPA) management, adverse event-tracking and reporting, nonconformance reporting, issue management and a host of other capabilities. Customers will be able to choose on-site implementation with the help of QAD Global Services or use the software as a service model, hosted by NetRegulus.

In addition to life sciences-specific functionality, QAD solutions for compliance help life sciences manufacturers address the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 11 regulations governing use of electronic signatures, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. Life sciences customers can take advantage of QAD Enterprise Applications' domain capabilities and support for multiple languages and currencies to centralize global operations, while preserving flexibility for local execution. Furthermore, QAD solutions are designed to support lean and other advanced manufacturing techniques; accommodate consignment and other business models; and automate and streamline engineering change control, contract/rebate/chargeback administration and post-sales service and support for efficient and cost-effective operations.
