| DiskStream Partners Digital Rapids DiskStream and Digital Rapids Corporation have announced the two companies have partnered to integrate key capabilities of Digital Rapids' StreamZ family of real-time media encoding servers with Capsa, DiskStream's groundbreaking video archiving solution. Together, DiskStream and Digital Rapids are streamlining the migration of legacy tape-based libraries to file-based archives. Capsa enables broadcasters to import metadata from their existing look-up and indexing systems, typically databases or news production systems, such as ENPS. Through the integration with Digital Rapids' StreamZ, Capsa uses this metadata to generate batch capture lists and drive the ingest of video content from tape. Capsa automatically catalogs the resulting media files and generates low-resolution proxies, immediately making the files searchable and available for preview or retrieval. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
