| Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6.2 Kerio Technologies has announced that Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6.2, its Windows gateway firewall and VPN package for SMBs, has further improved its robust feature set with Bandwidth Limiter and dual-engine antivirus protection. Kerio WinRoute Firewall's new Bandwidth Limiter acts as a simple Quality of Service (QoS) device that slows down Internet connection for heavy traffic users to make space for bandwidth-sensitive applications such as VoIP. Individual bandwidth hogs are thus unable to cripple the network's resources with large file downloads or uploads. Bandwidth Limiter also allows network administrators to configure daily or monthly quotas for bandwidth usage. Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6.2 will also make it possible to simultaneously utilize both the integrated McAfee Antivirus engine as well as any of the supported third party antivirus software packages. With this option selected, all files passing through the firewall are scanned by both anti-virus software solutions for maximum security.
