| Dimension Introduces 768 Series 3D Printers The Dimension 3D Printing Group has introduced the Dimension 768 Series 3D Printers. Based on the same platform as Dimension's previous offering, but with a newly designed exterior, the Dimension 768 Series utilizes new Catalyst EX software, providing designers an even easier-to-use toolset for efficiently processing 3D models. Catalyst software imports STL files and automatically slices and orients parts, creates necessary support structures and plots a precise deposition path for the 3D printer to follow. Dimension 768 Series 3D Printers use durable ABS plastic, allowing users to test 3D prints for functionality, form and fit. Whereas the Dimension BST 768 requires users to manually remove support pieces, the Dimension SST 768 provides a cleaning station that quickly and easily removes soluble supports, thereby enabling "hands-free" 3D printing. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
