Zetadocs PDF 2.0 is Released

Equisys has launched version 2.0 of its network-capable PDF software, Zetadocs PDF. Zetadocs transforms any business document into a single PDF file and emails it instantly to one or more recipients. It saves businesses time and money by creating and delivering professional-looking electronic documents.

The new version of Zetadocs PDF builds on the strengths of the software as a network capable PDF solution. The new features include:

- A central archiving feature which gives all users fast access to previously sent documents
- Faxing and printing delivery options to allow easy integration with existing fax servers and network printers
- Integration with ACT. 2006 contact manager, which radically improves communications with ACT. contacts
- Support for Citrix / Terminal Services environments
- Versions in English, Spanish, German and Italian

PDF files are common in email inboxes and on company networks because they are used to produce product brochures, proposals, invoices and newsletters. However, only a fraction of people have access to a PDF creation tool such as Adobe Acrobat.

Because Zetadocs PDF is network-capable, it integrates with email systems, offering PDF creation to anyone on the network. It also addresses common problems associated with sending business documents by email in their native format. These include incompatible file formats that cannot be read by recipients, document security issues such as viruses and editable document formats and lack of message clarity and consistency when sending multiple attachments.

Business documents created and sent using Zetadocs PDF can be made secure to prevent them from being edited, printed or opened without a password. In addition, its template-driven PDF production can automatically overlay business documents onto company stationery, or merge the appropriate attachments before delivering the document as a PDF by email.

Zetadocs PDF can be deployed on all desktops from a central location, making deployment straightforward. Its "what you see is what you get" PDF creation user interface means that users have access to a rich and powerful feature set that requires a minimum level of training and support.

- Document archiving
A copy of all sent documents can be stored automatically in a central document archive
- Document retrieval and resubmission
Archived documents are retrievable from within the Zetadocs software. A re-submit feature allows the user to re-send an identical copy of the original
- ACT. Integration
Users are able to send documents such as quotations and letters directly to Act. contacts from within ACT. 2005 and ACT. 2006. Copies of documents sent from within ACT. can be automatically archived against the customer history
- Custom fields
Custom fields can be declared by the user, such as "quote number" and used to personalize their message during the document production process e.g. Quotation 1234 for Acme Ltd
- Faxing and printing capability
As an option, business documents created using Zetadocs can be faxed and printed as well as emailed. Zetafax 9 or later is required for faxing documents
- PDF viewing and previewing
PDF files can now be viewed from within the reading pane and preview panes in the Zetadocs software. This gives users a what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) preview of their PDF document prior to sending
- Support for Citrix/Terminal services
Zetadocs PDF can be deployed in a Citrix/Terminal Services environment
- Translation into German, Spanish and Italian
The Zetadocs PDF software and help files are now available in Spanish, German and Italian as well as English
