| Xilinx Ships Compliant Programmable x8 PCI Express IP Core Xilinx, Inc. has announced immediate availability of its compliant x1, x4 and x8 lane LogiCORE PCI Express IP Core targeted for telecom, networking, storage and video applications. System designers can now take advantage of the programmability and reconfigurability of the Xilinx FPGA architecture to build fully compliant and interoperable PCI Express platforms. The Xilinx PCIe IP Core is compliant to the PCI Express base specification v1.1 and is the only programmable x8 lane PCIe IP Core to have successfully completed all PCI Express compliance and interoperability tests administered at PCI-SIG PCI Express Compliance Workshop #48. The Xilinx PCIe IP Core successfully completed 100 percent of rigorous Gold tests for compliance with the PCI Express specifications for Electrical, Link/Transaction and PCI Express Configuration Verification using an x8 PCI Express add-in card based on Virtex-4 FX FPGAs.
