| IntelliCorp Simplifies SAP Master Data Management IntelliCorp has announced DataWorks, a master data management solution that reduces the preparation time, expense and manual effort required to create SAP data for development, testing and training. Built in ABAP and operating inside of SAP, DataWorks provides an easy-to-use point-and-click SAP GUI interface that drives automatic transfers of master and transactional data between SAP systems. IntelliCorp also has announced it will set up a collaborative development community to support DataWorks and its users. The development community will enable DataWorks users to share and build their own interfaces, reducing development and deployment time. DataWorks is powered by IntelliCorp's SAP certified application integration tool, LiveInterface, which has been successfully used by more than 200 SAP customers worldwide. LiveInterface is used to build, manage and monitor data transfers. DataWorks for SAP's extract programs are, in fact, standard LiveInterface outbound interfaces. The monitoring tools available in LiveInterface are directly accessible from the DataWorks user interface. When managing SAP lifecycle events, such as upgrades, consolidations, testing, training or general operations support, having valid system data to test business scenarios and train users will reduce the cost and risk involved. DataWorks, which supports SAP versions 4.6c and above, automatically extracts data from production systems for use, allowing the actual production system to continue running during data migration. Additional DataWorks benefits include its adaptability to SAP industry solutions and custom client configurations, pre-built interfaces for SAP modules FI, MM, SD, PP and HR, support for Unicode and the ability to empower business users to own the data. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
