| IRS Tax Products CD The official IRS Tax Products CD is now available from the National Technical Information Service. The CD is released twice yearly; the First Release which is currently shipping; and the Final Release which is currently available for sale and is shipping in late February 2006. The IRS is no longer publishing Package X. This package, a compilation of federal tax forms and instructions, was created as a reference set for tax professionals. All products that were available in Package X are available on the IRS Tax Products CD and more. This CD package consisting of both releases is the most complete and convenient offline resource for tax information available from the IRS. In addition to 2005 tax forms, publications, and instructions, the CD also contains: * Prior year tax forms and publications to 2003 * Recent issues of Internal Revenue Bulletins (Tax Years 2004, 2005, and 2006) * Links to prior year taxpayer information available on the Internet * Market Segment Specialization Guides * E-File Information * Tax Law Frequently Asked Questions * Tax Topics from the IRS telephone response system * User's Guide The 2005 Federal Tax Products CD can be used with Windows 98 and above with Pentium class processors, and requires a minimum of 32 MB RAM and 115 MB hard drive space. Although this CD does not support electronic filing, software is provided to view, search, save, and fill-in forms.
