| Unveils XTrax T.38 Fax Over IP Workflow Tracking Software Interstar Technologies will be launching its XTrax T.38 Fax over IP (FoIP) workflow tracking software at the 2006 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition (Booth #3351), a premier healthcare IT conference, being held February 12-16, at the San Diego Convention Center in California. Interstar’s XTrax T.38 IP fax workflow tracking software creates an official audit trail that facilitates compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), which governs the security, accountability and confidentiality of healthcare patient and institutional data. XTrax is a user-friendly software for viewing, searching, processing, OCR scanning, routing, archiving, and retrieval of faxes. XTrax is deployed with Interstar’s pioneer boardless T.38 FoIP solution, XMediusFAX, which integrates seamlessly with the leading VoIP gateways of leaders such as Cisco, 3Com, Alcatel, AudioCodes, and Vegastream. In addition to leveraging VoIP infrastructures and facilitating HIPAA compliance, the combination of Interstar’s XTrax IP fax tracker and XMediusFAX boardless FoIP fax server software enables healthcare providers to improve patient care and resource management. Installed as a client on each workstation, or accessed through a thin client, XTrax is used in conjunction with Interstar’s XMediusFAX T.38 Fax over IP (FoIP) fax server system and Microsoft SQL Server. XTrax enables system administrators, group administrators and staff to track and manage all inbound faxes. The XTrax Browser component searches new and processed faxes, and consults the audit tracking logs for each fax. The XTrax Viewer component opens and processes faxes as part of a workflow. Whether the user is a healthcare worker exchanging patient records, or an agent processing healthcare claims and payments, XTrax enables: • Fax viewing, searching, rerouting, forwarding and deletion • Archiving of faxes for easy retrieval • Fax annotation using: stamped comments, highlights, pen marks, and action flags, and much more. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
