| 64-Bit Version of Open VTOS Visual Environment ESI Group of France announces the release of its PAM-CRASH Solver software for crash simulation for engineers on Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server (CCS) 2003. This announcement follows a successful demonstration of the powerful capabilities of the company's 64-bit Open Virtual Try-Out Space (VTOS) interface on a cluster of industry-standard hardware at the SUPERCOMPUTING 2005 tradeshow in Seattle on Nov. 15. The software is ported to Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition and easily integrates with Microsoft Message Passing Interface and Job Scheduler technologies. Because the cluster increases the computing power, the solution offers a cost-effective approach to running resource-demanding CAE applications, like PAM-CRASH. This advantage allows engineers to work with very large virtual models (more than 4.5 million elements) that require more than 3 to 4 GB of memory, explains Jean-Louis Duval, Open VTOS Business Manager of ESI Group. The Open VTOS is a proven engineering simulation environment initiated with PAM-CRASH, LS-DYNA, NASTRAN and RADIOSS software on Windows CCS 2003, and encompasses Visual Environment and all ESI Group's simulation software. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Computing News :: home page |
