SiriCOMM Selects ValuePoint Network for SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spots

SiriCOMM, Inc., an applications service provider and nationwide broadband wireless network operator serving the highway transportation industry, announced the selection of ValuePoint Networks' SuperAP access point for installation at SiriCOMM Wi-Fi Hot Spots.

SiriCOMM will install the SuperAP 500IA-18, a rugged self-contained Power-over-Ethernet wireless access point combined with an integrated 18 dB flat-panel directional antenna. The access points support point-to-point and point-to-multipoint bridging modes for up to 6 bridging links with full TCP/IP routing capability and advanced security features for public hot spot applications. Enclosed in a NEMA-style enclosure with moisture proof seals, the high-powered unit is ideal for long-distance outdoor applications similar to those found at truck stops, truck fleet terminals and weigh stations.
