Jay Puri - the New VP of Worldwide Sales of NVIDIA

NVIDIA Corporation announced that Jay Puri has joined the Company as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Mr. Puri joins NVIDIA after a 22-year career at Sun Microsystems, where he held positions in sales, marketing, and general management.

Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Asia-Pacific Group, managing all of Sun's business in Asia-Pacific, including Japan, Korea, China, ASEAN, Australia, and India. Previously he served as Vice President, Worldwide Sales for Software & Technology; President of Nihon Sun K.K.; and Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing. During his tenure, Sun grew from 25 employees and no revenue to 35, 000 employees and $12 billion in revenue.

Prior to Sun, Mr. Puri held marketing, management consulting, and product development positions at Hewlett-Packard, Booz Allen & Hamilton, and Texas Instruments. Mr. Puri has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, an M.S.E.E.
from Caltech, and a B.S.E.E. with High Distinction from the University of Minnesota.

Mr. Puri succeeds NVIDIA Senior Vice President of Sales, Jeff Fisher. Mr. Fisher has been named Senior Vice President of the GeForce Business Unit, which includes desktop and notebook GPU products.
