Linux Networx to Integrate IBM GPFS within its Linux Supercomputers

Linux Networx, The Linux Supercomputing Company, announced today that the company has entered into an OEM agreement with IBM for its market-leading high-performance General Parallel File System, or GPFS.

This agreement represents the first such OEM relationship between IBM and another vendor for the GPFS solution. Under the terms of the agreement, Linux Networx will globally sell, tune, optimize and support GPFS as a tightly-integrated element of its LS Series of Linux Supersystems. GPFS will also be available within Linux Networx Advanced Technology Clusters, delivering large-scale, one-of-a-kind Linux supercomputing clusters to solve next-generation supercomputing challenges. Linux Networx and IBM supercomputing customers can now standardize on a single high-performance file system. New Linux Networx supercomputing users can take advantage of market-leading storage, compute and visualization capabilities, optimized within a total supercomputing systems experience.
