New ♫ "Your Mind Is on Vacation" feat. David Clayton-Thomas & John Finley

On Friday March 11, 2022, multi award-winning Canadian musician Lou Pomanti releases his second single "Your Mind Is on Vacation" from the upcoming album Lou Pomanti & Friends, distributed by Vesuvius Music / IDLA.

Pomanti re-vamps Mose Allison's classic blues "Your Mind Is on Vacation" with a hard swingin' brassy big band arrangement. Featuring two legendary Canadian vocalists David Clayton-Thomas of Blood Sweat and Tears and John Finley of Rhinoceros. These two have been pals since 1960's Toronto, Yorkville and Yonge Street music scenes (The Shays & The Checkmates). The pairing is historical and the friendship is palpable between the two in this cheeky duet.

"Lou Pomanti and Friends are the crème de la crème of the Canadian talent pool. Lou's charts are tight and he gets the best out of this diverse cast of accomplished all-stars. I enjoyed every track but I loved those peerless blues masters, the ageless David Clayton-Thomas and the forever young John Finley on a joyous romp through Mose Allison's "Your Mind Is on Vacation". Such seemingly casual perfection and that says it all for the whole album. The pros rule - no room here for amateurs or wannabes." - Duff Roman, O.C.

Arranged, produced, recorded and mixed by Pomanti the full album features many of his illustrious collaborators; a stellar back-up band, phenomenal featured soloists and a "who's who" of vocalists performing ballads to big band, bossanova to blues, with plenty of soul.
