Polyrhythmic Makes NYC Debut 5/20 at Club Bonafide

Club Bonafide, located at 212 East 52nd Street in New York, NY is proud to present Polyrhythmic on May 20th at 9:30pm and 11:00pm.

Polyrhythmic, made up of pianist Greg Spero, guitarist Dario Chiazzolino, bassist Hadrien Feraud and drummer Mike Mitchell is considered one of the most creative and innovative modern fusion iterations on the contemporary jazz scene. Featuring compositions by founder Spero, Polyrhythmic takes the elements of rhythmic exploration that are found in the fringe popular producers, and pushes forward to the next level of creativity while finding new landscapes in layered time signatures, all in the context of a constant pulsating groove. With extended compositions interspersed with brief palate-cleansing interludes, Polyrhythmic takes listeners on a journey through vast musical landscapes full of lush color, rocky roads, and unexpected twists and turns.

The members of Polyrhythmic each boast jaw-dropping resumes. Greg Spero, awarded as 2013's Chicago Music Awards Jazz Entertainer of the Year, has been touring with pop-sensation Halsey as keyboardist and sound designer for nearly two years. Before that, Spero established himself as a prominent figure on the Chicago and LA scene with appearances on nearly ten albums including Frank Catalano's bestselling 2006 album Mighty Burner. He has worked with a wide-ranging array of notable musicians and entertainers, most recently Makaya McCraven, the Miles Electric Band with Christian Scott and DJ Logic, The Buddy Rich Big Band, Ski Beatz and others.

Dario Chiazzolino is considered one of the finest and most virtuosic guitarists of his generation. Winner of the 2006 Umbria Jazz Festival "Best Guitar Player" award, Chiazzolino has collaborated with a litany of greats including Billy Cobham, Russell Ferrante, Jimmy Haslip, Felix Pastorious and the Yellowjackets, with whom he recorded and toured with in 2012.

Bassist Hadrien Feraud has played alongside John McLaughlin and can be heard on his 2005 album Industrial Zen. In 2009, Feraud joined McLaughlin's 4th Dimension group, touring with Gary Husband and Mark Mondesir. In addition, Hadrien has performed and toured with Lee Ritenour, Hiromi and Chick Corea, most recently in 2013, when he appeared on Chick's Latin Grammy Award-winning The Vigil.

Drummer Mike Mitchell is considered a prodigy. At 17 years old, Mitchell was recruited by Stanley Clarke to join his touring band. Mitchell has worked with luminaries such as Christian McBride, Antonio Hart and others.
After selling out shows across the United States, Polyrhythmic is thrilled to make their debut at Richard Bona's Club Bonafide in New York City for this special single night engagement.
