| A Grand Opening Is Brewing In Metro Detroit. . . International jazz recording artist Phil Denny will headline the grand opening of of new jazz venue (Jazz Underground) in Metro Detroit. Hosted by national comedian Mike Bonner. Warren, MI The grand opening of Metro Detroit's newest upscale jazz venue is set to take place on Friday, May 6th 2016 at Jazz Underground 6880 E. 12 mile road (Warren, Mi 48092). Showtime 8pm. The Jazz Underground is an upscale jazz venue with comfortable seating, concert sound, VIP sections, cocktail bar and intimate atmosphere that will enhance your soul with some of the world's best local and international artists. Also, being located in the lower level of Golden Harvest Chinese restaurant, allows patrons access to some of the most amazing Chinese cuisine around. The Jazz Underground's grand opening will feature international jazz recording artist, Phil Denny. Described as a passionate and soulful player who has a way of captivating audiences with his smooth, sexy yet energetic style.Since his debut album "Crossover" in 2012, Phil has earned two Billboard charted hits and has shared stages with Kirk Whalum, Rick Braun, Lalah Hathaway and the legendary Stevie Wonder. Phil has spreaded his vibrant sound all over the world, via airwaves and even other countries such as Dubai. In fact, Phil has sold out every show he has produced since the summer of 2012 and continues to build quite the international following. Now what's a grand opening without an amazing host? National comedian and actor Mike Bonner will be the host for the evening. Mike Bonner, has cracked up audiences on BET's "Comic View" and HBO's "Def Comedy Jam". A 14year veteran of the StandUp Comedy Scene, Bonner was one of 10 comedians selected in 1999 to appear at the prestigious, HBO sponsored US "Comedy Arts Festival" in Aspen, CO. He has appeared on Jamie Foxx Presents "Laffapalooza" on Showtime, Russell Simmons HBO's Def Comedy Jam AllStars", and seven seasons of BET's "Comicview" where he won his own Grandstand Comedy Special.
