Presbyterian Church

Sanctuary favorite Frank Vignola is a jaw-dropping guitarist who melds gypsy jazz, bluegrass, toe-tapping swing and front porch picking into an eclectic, upbeat sound all his own. The late Les Paul named him "one of my Five Most Admired Guitarists, " and he has toured and recorded with everyone from Madonna, Elton John, and Ringo Starr to Lionel Hampton, Donald Fagen, Queen Latifah, David Grisman, and Bucky Pizzarelli.

For this special Guitar Summit and Django 104th Birthday Bash, Frank will be joined by two other white-hot players.

Al Caiola is best known for his jangly guitar playing on the theme songs for "Bonanza" and "The Magnificent Seven." But, that's also Al you hear playing on hundreds of hits, from Glen Campbell's Galveston to Simon & Garfunkel's Mrs. Robinson to Del Shannon's Runaway.

Jason Annick is a jazz violinist and mandolinist best known for his work with gypsy jazz guitarist John Jorgenson's band and the gypsy jazz combo New Hot Club of America.

Bass star GaryMazzaroppi not only travels in jazz circles (Lionel Hampton Big Band, Stan Getz, Les Paul, Mark O'Connor) but also can be heard with Elvis Costello, Willie Nelson, Alicia Keyes, and Renee Fleming!

And, to add some sauce to this sizzling pot, rising-star American Songbook vocalist Audra Mariel will provide the vocals. Audra has been tabbed enthusiastically by radio host Jonathan Schwartz as a New Artist to Watch.

Expect Frank, Al, Jason, Gary, Audra and rhythm guitarist Vinny Rainolo to deliver white-hot versions of American standards, gypsy jazz jams, and even jazzified covers of Mozart and Black Sabbath!
