Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G returns to DPAC, Durham Performing Arts Center, on December 7, 2014 for an evening of holiday and hits, his first time back since his sold out 2011 show.

"We are excited to add Kenny G to our holiday lineup at DPAC this year. As we sweat through the summer heat, fans can look forward to a winter night filled with festive spirit featuring Kenny G performing his biggest hits and Christmas classics. Since his soldout show in 2011, DPAC guests have requested his return. Our theatre provides fans an intimate experience with their favorite, superstar artists like Kenny G, " said Emily McLoughlin, Marketing Director for Concerts and Comedy at DPAC.

In a recording career that spans almost three decades and 23 albums, Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G has grafted elements of R&B, pop and Latin to a jazz foundation solidifying his reputation as the premier artist in contemporary jazz. Since the early '80s, his combination of unparalleled instrumental chops and indelible melodies has resulted in sales of more than 75 million records worldwide (45 million in the U.S. alone) and more than a dozen climbs to the top of Billboard's contemporary jazz chart. He's even been named the best golfer in music by Golf Digest magazine.

In 1982, Kenny G released his self-titled debut album, striking a balance between jazz and R&B. His fourth studio album, Duotones (1986) made the saxophonist an international star. Selling more than 3 million copies, the silky-smooth jazz album led the way for Kenny G to work with other big-name stars, including Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Natalie Cole. During his long career, he's also performed with Barbra Streisand, Burt Bacharach and Frank Sinatra.

His 1992 release, Breathless, sold more than 8 million copies in the United States alone and became the top-selling instrumental album in history. Two years later, Kenny G hit stores with his first holiday album, Miracles, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In 1993 Kenny G was awarded a Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition for the single "Forever in Love". In 2010, Kenny G teamed up with Robin Thicke and Babyface for the R&B-driven album Heart and Soul and his most recent Namaste (2012) with Rahul Sharma.

Kenny continues to dominate the smooth jazz music scene with new music and as co-host of "Kenny G and Sandy Kovach in the Morning" weekdays 8am to Noon ET on The Smooth Jazz Network
