Michael Egleton, Releases New Album, “A Look Into My Heart”

Michael Egleton has become known as one of the nation's great blues and jazz musicians. He was ranked #1 on Reverberation in the categories of Ohio's Blues and Jazz for the better part of 2013. He was also the first black Soul Blues artist to play at the Musica Music Venue in downtown Akron, Ohio, and was featured twice at the Sweet Auburn Music Festival.

Now, Michael Egleton is releasing his much-anticipated new album, "A Look Into My Heart, " in June 2014.

"A Look Into My Heart" has been the work of more than 12 months and features collaboration from some major musicians of the modern jazz movement: Wes McCraw, Samuel Haygood, KT Beats, Bill Clarke of the S.O.S. Band and Ginger Pittman. On working with Wes McCraw, Michael Egleton said, "When I met Wes, I felt like it was divine intervention because where music is concerned, he and I think so much alike. I believe that Wes and the other collaborators on this album, like Sam, KT, Bill, and Ginger, made a deposit into my life and into my music, forming a true heart-to-heart connection that you will feel in the album."

For years, Michael Egleton has been making heart-felt albums that describe his complex relationship with life and with music. "Music is a part of me, it is self-expression of hope. To have the ability to reach someone's heart, to me this is a very special opportunity. For me, it is my story in the form of a song, " Michael Egleton says. Many of the songs on this album spring from his personal experiences; for example, some of the songs are reflective of his painful memories of his parent's divorce. However, the message of the album is not one of sadness but of hope.

"For the ladies, those who have been let down or lied to about love, it is a message about love. For the men, it is insight on loving someone correctly and the results of not loving someone correctly, " says Michael Egleton.

"A Look Into My Heart" will be released on iTunes and Amazon as well as on www.MichaelEgleton.com
