Oak Street Blues To Release Their First Full-Length Album

The Southern California-based trio Oak Street Blues will release their debut album, Waiting For Something, digitally on September 25 through their own label, Slo Mo Records.

Since the formation of OAK STREET BLUES in 2009, the band have become known for their unique mix of traditional country and alternative rock combined with elements of electronic and pop. Their music is designed to be fun and lively for their fans, but their live shows are entertaining and amusing and sometimes a bit over the top.

"We've been touring Southern California since the band's inception and look forward to expanding our fan base with the release of our debut album, " says frontman Chris Hall.

WAITING FOR SOMETHING features 10 love-infused tracks written by the band. Two highlight tracks include "Stars" and "Robot Song." "Stars, " the lead-off single and first track on the album, is about dreaming of how wonderful someone is but not being able to be with them. "It is one of my favorite Oak Street Blues songs because of its complex chord structure and dreamy synth. When we play it live, it is more acoustic but still dreamy, " comments Hall. "Robot Song" strays away from the band's typical love songs. "It is a love song about something that fascinates us: 1960s robots. The track shows our fun side that fans can see at our live shows, " says Hall.

OAK STREET BLUES is founder/frontman/guitarist Chris Hall, Jenny Arias on bass and ukulele and Desiree "Crazy Legs" Gonzalez on keyboards.

Currently, the group is playing their live shows in and around Los Angeles, California. The band will expand its touring route in the fall.
