Meyer Rossabi's First CD Gets Radio Airtime

Blues guitarist and songwriter Meyer Rossabi's debut CD Blues Is The Color has been added to playlists on FM radio stations across the country. DJ's and music directors have played multiple tracks including "Born in Chicago", "The Sky is Crying", and the hard rockin' original song "Hurricane". Radio play includes the following stations: SiriusXM Radio; Blues Deluxe Radio, Texas; Blues Cruise Radio, WORT - FM; KAOS Radio 89.9 FM; WCNI 90.9 FM; WWUH 91.3 FM in West Hartford; WUSB FM, Stony Brook College; WKRB 90.3 in New York; KRCL Radio in Utah; KASU FM Radio in Arkansas; KTUH FM in Hawaii; KZSC Radio in Santa Cruz; KGPR FM in Montana; WUSC Radio in South Carolina; KDHX Radio in St. Louis; Crossroads Radio Show; Dr. Bob's Blues Show on KPOV FM; Smokestack Lightening Blues Radio, and Roadrash Blues Radio in England.

This CD dispalys Meyer Rossabi's dynamic fretwork, soulful vocals, and songwriting skills, .'Blues Is The Color' features nine original songs, two covers and a bonus live track "The Sky is Crying". Blues Is The Color 'features Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Award winning drummer Marky Ramone on three tracks, "World Gone Crazy, " "The Sky Is Crying" and "Crash."

Blues Is The Color has also received rave reviews from national music press including The Aquarian Weekly, Blues Blast Magazine, Blues Matters Magazine, and Real Blues Magazine.

Meyer is dedicated to keeping the legacy of the blues alive. He started playing the NYC blues circuit in the mid-90's, playing at renowned venues such as Manny's Car Wash and the Lone Star Cafe. Influenced and inspired by artists such as Eric Clapton, Jeff Healy, George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Johnny Winter, Les Paul, and Stevie Ray Vaughn, Rossabi takes the music of his predecessors and and brings it to a new level. Renowned for his firey guitar solos and his smooth soulful voice, Meyer Rossabi is an exciting new voice in American music. Meyer co-wrote the song "Don't Blame Me" featuring vocals by Joan Jett. Meyer wrote the opening song and additional music for the movie "Brooklyn Boys." Blues Is The Color was recorded mainly with his 1959 Flametop Les Paul. Meyer dedicates the CD to Les Paul and Jeff Healy.

Rossabi has started recording his next album, "Blues The Way You Like It", set for release in Spring 2012, with Marky Ramone.
