The Dylan Thomas Festival 2010

Join us for the 2010 Dylan Thomas Festival at the Dylan Thomas Centre, from Wednesday, 27 October to Tuesday, 9 November. This year's festival focuses not only on Dylan Thomas' work but also that of other Welsh Thomases who have made a significant contribution to the literature of Wales and beyond. As well as Dylan himself, there will be events focusing on R.S.Thomas, Edward Thomas, Wynford Vaughan Thomas, Gwyn Thomas and John Ormond Thomas.

Participants include Andrew Motion, Gwyneth Lewis, Alexis Lykiard and Mike Jenkins, and the superb Canadian poetry and music troupe, The Fugitives. We host the first full performance of D.J. Britton's one-man show on David Lloyd George, starring BAFTA award-winning actor, Richard Elfyn, and Peter Hain discusses his new book on Nelson Mandela. We launch the new recording of Jen Wilson's Twelve Poems: The Dylan Thomas Jazz Suite, and host a one-day conference on R.S. Thomas in conjunction with Swansea University.

Exhibitions include the first showing of drawings by Dylan and artist and illustrator, Dodie Masterman. With a fantastic mix of drama, film, poetry, talks and special guests, the festival promises to deliver something for everyone.
