Rome Jazz Festival Poised to Kick Off

Music enthusiasts heading to the Rome Jazz Festival this year have a wealth of talent to enjoy during the event. The Eternal City is a beautiful place to visit at any time, but throw in a set of world class jazz concerts and it could mean the holiday of a lifetime for some people.

Running from November 11th to 30th, this year's edition features an impressive array of Italian and international talent that is sure to satisfy even the pickiest jazz lover.

Among the artists confirmed to play at the festival are Stefano Bollani, Paolo Fresu, Chiara Civello and Gianluca Petrelia.

The venue that will host this series of live jazz shows is the Parco della Musica, which is well known for staging some of the most important concerts in the city.

According to Rome-Culture.com, many of the 5 star hotels in Rome near to the building often get quite busy around the time of the event, so people should make their accommodation arrangements early.

The online resource claimed that jazz music first arrived in Italy when American soldiers came to the country during the first world war.

"After the war, jazz music enjoyed a surge in popularity that sparked the beginnings of what would later become the Rome Jazz Festival, " it added.
