The "Doctor" Will Be In at Blackjack's Roadhouse

Edmonton's Marshall Lawrence, the "Doctor of Blues" (a real Doctor of Psychology), will be performing solo acoustic blues, at Blackjack's Roadhouse, in Nisku, on October 15th.

Marshall is coming off a busy spring and summer, promoting his latest acoustic blues CD "Blues Intervention", that even took him north of 60 and British Columbia. During the summer Marshall, with the help of guest host "Johnny The Singing Bartender", John Horiachka maintained his regular Saturday afternoon acoustic open stage at Edmonton's Crown Pub and Pizza. Marshall also hosted Tuesday night acoustic open stages and Edmonton's new Rusty Reed's House of Blues.

Marshall has been interviewed and "Blues Intervention" was positively reviewed numerous times in Canada, the US and Europe. The CD was charting well on roots music charts and getting airplay from college, independent and online radio.

In August Marshall even had the opportunity to return to his electric blues past, with a performance at the Calgary Blues Fest.

The October 15 performance, will be a return visit to Blackjack's Roadhouse. During this year's Beaumont Blues Festival, Marshall hosted a festival fundraiser at Blackjack's Roadhouse as well as the festival's Saturday and Sunday night after parties.

Marshall's performance on Friday October 15 (Doors at 7:30), will be a great time for blues fans, in the Edmonton metro area, to hear traditional delta blues tunes as well as new old music by Marshall.
