Doris Day Is Back On The Radio Again!

Beginning Sunday, November 7, 2010, Doris Day will once again be the featured artist for a two-hour special internet radio program every Sunday from 3pm to 5pm NYT on Baltimore Net Radio. A new series "The Doris Day Songbook" is being launched after the 25 week success of "A Sentimental Journey With Doris Day, " a series that celebrated the story of Miss Day's musical career.

Show host, Mike DeVita will host a second venture into her music that spans six decades. The new series will evolve around various themes developed through Miss Day's music. One show, for example, will feature all of the songs she sang in a "country" groove. Another will present Doris as a Jazz singer and yet another will feature all of the songs she sang as band singer with Les Brown and His Band of Renown.

The first few broadcasts in The Doris Day Songbook series will feature a collection of songs Doris sang that come specifically from Broadway Shows. Listeners are invited to phone the station or e-mail requests for special themes they would like presented as well.
