Joe Cocker to Perform at Prague's O2 Arena

Music legend Joe Cocker is set to perform in Prague following the release of his new album. The Sheffield-born blues singer's latest long-player Hard Knocks will be available from October 4th and he is promoting the record with a series of concerts around Europe, including a date in the Czech capital on Thursday November 18th.

Fans heading to the O2 Arena show from their Prague hotels can expect to hear plenty of songs from the album, along with classic tracks from Cocker's long and distinguished career.

The singer rose to prominence following his debut release With a Little Help from My Friends, which came out in 1969.

As well as the title track, which was originally performed by The Beatles, the album featured several songs penned by Cocker and his songwriting partner Chris Stainton.

Subsequent popular albums released by the performer include Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Sheffield Steel and Unchain My Heart.

In 1983, Cocker received a Grammy Award for Up Where We Belong, a duet he performed with Jennifer Warnes for the soundtrack of the film An Officer and a Gentleman.
