Eden Brent Garners Glowing Early Praise For New CD

Eden Brent has wooed critics at NPR Weekend Edition, NPR.org, Garden Gun and USA Today with her dazzling new album "Ain't Got No Troubles, " out September 7 on Yellow Dog Records.

Available digitally in advance of its nationwide release date, "Ain't Got No Troubles" quickly rose to No 1 on the iTunes blues chart and to No 5 on the
Amazon music chart on the strength of CD pre-orders.

Brent joined NPR Weekend Edition host Scott Simon in August to talk about her new album and the ironies inherent in blues music: http://bit.ly/bxylv9.

Brent is also slated for an interview feature on American Routes Radio the week of September 15th.

"The recording sounds as if it were bootlegged in an obscure juke joint back in the 1920s - an expert channeler of old-time blueswomen - irresistibly fresh." NPR.org Song of the Day (http://n.pr/c9qWPo)

"Evokes the raw vocal sound of Bessie Smith, only with a friendlier New Orleans tinge" USA Today's Pick of the Week (http://bit.ly/9ZmzIe)

"Fantastic...onstage, she's a dynamo, pounding the keys while she sings and hollers like she's straight out of a juke joint." Garden Gun (http://bit.ly/bKrhAi)
