Peter Katis Creates Original Artwork For New Album 'If A Band Plays In The Woods...?'

Between his role as songwriter/frontman for quietly profound rock band The Philistines Jr. and his work as producer/mixer for hit indie bands like The National, Interpol, Jonsi, and The Swell Season, Peter Katis has an impressive musical CV. But Katis is also an accomplished visual artist. Check out the accompanying Katis originals that hang in his home and grace the packaging of The Philistines Jr.'s new album, 'If A Band Plays in the Woods...?' (Oct 19, Tarquin Records/EmBarque).

Katis studied fine art in college, and he even had his own gallery showings before becoming one of the most sought-after music producers in indie rock. His style, darkly humorous and purposefully raw, mirrors his lyrical sensibilities as chief songwriter for The Philistines Jr.
